So often I write asking photographers to provide a caption or information about their images to help views better appreciate what they are seeing. The selection today is from a shoot we made after Robert McCurley spoke about street photography.

The boys walking under the X was a shot from the front door of The Arts Company - I saw the sun on the building facing me configured by tall buildings blocking it - and I waited for people to walk under it.

The lonely man with strong shadows at the War Memorial Plaza was surprise moment. I did not want to intrude but why was he just sitting there? As I walked around the Plaza I saw the statues of fighting men and I wondered what my image would be saying about this man if I could frame him with these men who faught for our freedoms.

The walk was made at about the time the War Memorial Plaza sit in was winding down and I was fascinated by what looked like an abandoned tent.
