Mark - the other night at the Mini-Clinic, Jerry Atnip remarked late in the evening of critiques, that only one image had evoked a comment regarding emotion. Somehow your image here has emotional overtones - at least for me. Anyone else care to comment?
Thank you for the nice comments gentlemen. The photo was taken near Barstow, CA near Route 66 where there are quite a number of vacant businesses from an earlier, more colorful (at least to me) time. I love finding places like this and imagining what they were like in their glory. Also, as most of you know, a color image from me is rare but the colors here were just too nice. I also felt it was somewhat symbolic that the sun was "setting" on the Dixie Inn.

Mark, it is beautiful. So hard to make sunsets and sunrises unique, but you did it. Glad to see a post from you again.
Great photo. Nicely, done.
