Miles, this is a thoughtful, lovely image. Good color. The light plays across the leaves and against the underlying ripples in a dramatic fashion. Placing the branch in the left half of the picture creates an interesting negative space on the right. Well done.

Jerry,

I was in one of my artsy moods that day. Cut the branch from the tree because of it's colors and wanted to work with it and shadows. Aside from the shadows of leaves and branch the back ground is also the shadow of window and blind on a grey foam board. The lighting was achieved by adjusting the angle of the blind slats to diffuse the harsh sunlight, after I had set up the shot with the diagonal angles of blind slats and branch placement.

Your comments tell me that I accomplished what I intended.

Thanks, so much for the feedback.
