I thought I would take the blog in a slightly different direction today. Beverly Keyser forwarded me a photo this week from her daughter and son-in-law, Alexis Keyser Kelley and Andrew Kelley. Both graduated from Brentwood High School and the University of Virginia. Andrew is finishing his PhD at Princeton University.
Alexis and Andrew made the trek to Mt. Everest base camp and wanted to do something special for Andrew's grandmother, Mrs. Lois Hill. So, they made up a sign with birthday wishes and, through the magic of photography and modern technology, celebrated with her from the highest mountain on earth.
Beautiful scenery, an adventurous couple and a simple, meaningful message combined together to communicate a loving gesture and create a tangible memory that can be seen, felt and passed along to future generations forever.
Thanks for sharing the photo and the underlying story with us Beverly.
P.S. Ms. Hill, if you have an opportunity to read this...Happy 90th Birthday!!
